Results – STC Champs 2024
Club Champs 2024 Finals were played the weekend in October (Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th), with the weather playing along, as both days were perfect for tennis.
The two days saw a large attendance with club members and visitors watching exciting tennis of the highest order. Saturday saw Cherie Bester / Lanie Farrelly beat Tracy Kreuger / Anita Flockhart in the Ladies Doubles.
The Mens Doubles saw Bernard Schoeman / Gerhard Badenhorst beat Jarryd Patrick / Mike v d Marel in the final. Both these games were keenly contested and appreciated by those in attendance.
Sunday saw both the Mens and Ladies singles being played with Lanie Farrelly beating Michelle Lutener in an epic duel to decide the ladies champion.
In the Mens Singles Jarryd Patrick beat Hennie Louw in the finals with tennis of a quality seldom seen in Sedgefield.
The Championships were rounded off with the mixed doubles going to Bernard Schoeman / Barby Tops edging out Mike v d Marel / Tracy Kreuger.
The Championships also accommodate an over 70’s section with Craig Marion winning the singles and Craig Marion / George Emslie winning the doubles.
