Switch on the lights !!!

After months of planning and hard work by the committee – especially Mike, Phil & George, STC was finally ready to switch on the lights!  Court 1 is now ready for evening play with newly installed lights.  Thanks to the Knysna Municipality with donations and help with the electrical installation we could officially open the court on Wednesday, 6 November.

In celebration a fun Round Robin tournament was played in the afternoon with 24 players taking part.  Chairman William then cut the ceremonial ribbon on court 1 and then it was all action again with John, Bruce, William and Ian as the first male teams to play under the lights followed by Audrey, Cherie, Carol and Lanie.

A Boeriebraai was provided by the club for all to end off a very successful day.
